The breeding team
AB-Cultivars is a Dutch plant breeding company and was founded in 1994. The owner, Henk Holtmaat, leads the plant breeding program and holds complete understanding and experience in plant breeding of new varieties and their protection. The breeding team at AB-Cultivars has developed unique, improved selections of Astilbe, Brunnera, Campanula, Echinacea, Helenium, Heuchera, Heucherella, Monarda and Rudbeckia. Besides breeding own cultivars AB-Cultivars is also a partner when it comes to introducing new cultivars in the market. The now 50 different cultivars find their way in America, Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia and South Africa.
